In my work, I chase the way light transforms surfaces: the soft translucence of petals, the warm glow on a tabletop, the cool half-shadows of a late afternoon. I build paintings from small observations — a highlight, a reflected colour, the shadow’s edge — until the scene feels alive with atmosphere. Working wet-on-wet for misty transitions and reserving crisp, dry-brush strokes for details, I try to capture both the fleetingness and the clarity of those instants.
Each piece is an invitation to pause and notice: to feel the warmth of sunshine, the hush after a rain, the gentle honesty of a child’s expression. If my paintings give even a moment of that same quiet joy, then I have done my work.
